Driving Miss Donna - what does this mean? Whenever I want to go somewhere, if Don is home he will usually drive. He always says he is driving miss Donna! This blog is for our travels, usually with our truck and fifth wheel trailer, but sometimes in our other wheels. When we are not vacationing check in for updates, although less frequent, about our life at home and our wonderful family:)

November

Here's what I know about November. It was a BLAST! I am exhausted!

The month started with me travelling to Regina for a co-op conference. Then I attended a co-operative evening with MLAs. Then I attended a 2 day Co-operators conference. We attended 21 ringette and hockey games. We flew to Las Vegas for a few days. We had new exterior entry doors and storm dooes installed in the house. We finished most of our Christmas shopping. We delivered the first 2023 Christmas boxes to the kids. We slept. LOL

Tracy had a birthday that was kind of missed because she was sick:( Reese turned 13!!!! We shopped and celebrated.

It was  a great month!

October

Well I'm not sure what happened in October to be honest! Somehow it flew by; a northern co-op visit for me, a Saskatoon co-op trip, and Thanksgiving and Halloween added in. We had a perfect Thanksgiving dinner with the kids, and arena time is at its' peak! I also attended the Winter Classic Hockey game working the 50/50.

Most importantly we celebrated Don's birthday as a family. It isn't always easy to get the 11 of us together.

September

September started with the perfection of a weekend at the Stecyk cabin. It is hard to believe the kids are back to school already. Mason Gr 4, Connor Gr 6, Reese Gr 8, Emerson Gr 9 and Blake Gr 11.

Our new trailer has already had quite the life with a trip to Idaho and Saskatchewan. It has been in for a few warranty issues but we are loving it overall. Change is hard. LOL The solar installation is finished and working as expected!

After the long weekend Don and I headed out to Jasper. We had hoped to camp in the cheaper overflow but it was closed for the season so we ended up at Wapiti. Sadly the rain would not let up enough to even come close to walking and exploring, and there was still a repair needed on the trailer so we came home early. Thankfully Redneck RV came through with a quick repair, and we decided to head out to Abraham Lake. Ivan joined us and it was a fantastic stay.

By the time the month was ending the kids were fully ingrained in back to school, ringette, hockey, cubs. And exhausted parents. haha

August

August started with a camping trip to Battleford SK for another anniversary party. This one for another one of my Aunt and Uncle's. They celebrated 70 years!

The campground was in fall colors which was odd for August but just beautiful. The anniversary celebration was great. So many of my cousins were there, it was a great weekend. Ginger and Ben camped with us and we had so much fun!

Ginger, Ben and Alisa also visited us in Stony Plain. Alisa was scheduled for heart surgery but by the time they got here it was cancelled. I was heavily involved in the Stony Plain Cowboy Gathering music event but Ginger and Alisa came with me and it was even more fun with them there!

The kids and I had another adventure day out. We went to Telus World of Science. Even Blake tagged along! We did the full meal deal with the exhibits and IMAX. It was a blast but we were exhausted when it was over!

Because Alisa's surgery was cancelled they headed back later in the month for a successful re-schedule. So again Ginger and I spent time together.

The reason for the many Lego photos is that the TWOS exhibit was the Lego one and it was FANTASTIC!

Oh and that white Grand Cherokee? That's our new Jeep!

July

Not to let the kitchen makeover rise above anything else - we bought a new to us fifth wheel!

We headed out for the July long weekend with the Camerons at Cross Lake, knowing that on our way home Monday we would be taking the Sedona to the dealer and bringing home a new to us Starcraft. The Sedona was 12 years old and has travelled with us from the farthest south part of Texas to Yellowknife and had an estimated 150,000 kms!

July was jam packed. Home form Cross Lake we headed to Coeur d'Alene Idaho with Jim and Janice, the kids and I minus Blake traveled overnight to Calgary for a hotel stay and zoo visit, kitchen renovations continued, we finally fit in a school's out lunch with all the grandkids, and we fit in a camping trip to Cypress Hills SK with Ken and Brenda!

Oh and the last photos are the new kitchen...
