Knowing that we are in Idaho, and I say an old favourite – can you guess where we are now? Of course it is Farragut State Park, just north of Coeur d'Alene.
Our days here have been filled with driving around Lake Coeur d’Alene, supporting the economy, and visiting Sandpoint. We have driven through Sandpoint numerous times, but not taken the time to explore (aka shop) there. I just love having Bev as my partner in crime for shopping. And of course having Ron along to keep Don form too much boredom!
Sandpoint is filled with quaint stores, amazing views, architecture worth stopping and gazing at, and sunny skies. I haven’t shared with you that the weather on this trip thus far has been glorious. Daily highs of plus 30 and evenings where you can only hope it cools down enough. There is no doubt the air conditioner in the new trailer works, as it has been running day and night.
We spent a lot of time enjoying the camping here, and making use of the fire pits, as they are almost a luxury these days at campsites, especially commercial ones. And don’t forget the necessary visit to nearby Bayview, and Ralph’s Coffee House, for the best cappuccino around.
Our next adventure is going to be Hell’s Canyon. Don tells me we stayed in the state park there once before, but I must admit I don’t remember that. Hopefully the scenery will serve as a reminder – I’ll let you know!
