What great weather we are having. Last week was a pretty slow week. Then on Friday we headed to the Lacombe area for a retirement party. Don is one of 4 aggregate prospectors that work for the provincial government. And now with Bernie Kolkman retiring, Don is the last of the originals:) Bernie worked out of the Red Deer office. The retirement party was a really nice style. It was at a small hall, with a group camping area available. The supper was simple, with lots of time for just relaxing and visiting. Of course there were tons of old transportation folks to visit. Don has been with the department for almost 30 years, and knows lots of folks. I met Bruce Blue's wife, Keri. What a blast. Why do we live so close and have never met?
We came home Saturday afternoon and met Tracy, Cal and the kids for supper. On Sunday after a brief visit with Lindsay and Jeremy we went for breakfast and some driving around the malls and a small amount of shopping.
This weekend we have a wedding in Stony Plain, then on Sunday afternoon will head to Ol' McDonald's farm for a week with Tracy, Cal and the kids. I am very excited to spend a week camping with Blake and Emerson!!
Talk soon.
