Driving Miss Donna - what does this mean? Whenever I want to go somewhere, if Don is home he will usually drive. He always says he is driving miss Donna! This blog is for our travels, usually with our truck and fifth wheel trailer, but sometimes in our other wheels. When we are not vacationing check in for updates, although less frequent, about our life at home and our wonderful family:)

From formal dinners for the Co-op to hockey dates and more, November flew by.

I took Connor to hockey in Beaumont one Saturday morning. On the way home he was looking forward to lunch at Subway. Lindsay had given him money for lunch for myself as well, and it melted my heart when he asked me what I wanted, then said, Don't worry Grandma, I'll order for you and pay".

I have decided to run for a new Board position with Federated Co-operatives. This is a big time commitment and needed a lot of consideration before moving ahead. Typically it is a week in Saskatoon ten out of twelve months a year, with additional meetings more locally, and a lot of prep time. So I made the decision to run, and then the campaigning to various retails who are in my district began.

Don is curling as a spare with some past co-workers, and with their travel and work schedules that turns out to be quite a few Mondays a month. They curl at the Saville Centre, which a pretty nice Edmonton facility.

Blake is now in Grade 7 and it seems with his school sports and hockey, we rarely see him. We watch him participate a lot but that is different than visits. So when he had a half day off we decided to pick him up for lunch and a visit. Also we went to a sports store and him and grandpa tried out hockey sticks. What a business that is! It was great to have some time with him. Just like the other kids, he is growing up too fast. We had a couple of visits also when he was on fall break.

Remember how we take each birthday kid out for lunch and shopping? Well November 14 Reese celebrates turning 9! You know she's growing up when her choice to shop is for clothes as well as toys. We had a great run through the mall with her, and lunch in the food court. What a great kid!

I had a co-op conference in Saskatoon and Don used the opportunity to drive to see his family. I appreciated not having to fly as well. Co-op conferences are a lot more fun with my sister in law Kathy now a delegate for her local co-op. Although there isn't much unscheduled time we not only fit in some beverages, we also had a couple hours to see my sister Ginger who lives in Saskatoon. Don had a great visit with his mom and the rest of the family as well!

Another Reese milestone was celebrated this month when she officially moved from Brownies to Guides. She loves this program and it is a fabulously ran organization.

November finished in a whirlwind with Connor and Mason staying with us while their mom and dad celebrated their 10th Anniversary! As much as I can't imagine life before Connor and Mason it just does not seem like 10 years since that awesome Vegas wedding.
