Our Travel Blog

My photo
Driving Miss Donna - what does this mean? Whenever I want to go somewhere, if Don is home he will usually drive. He always says he is driving miss Donna! This blog is for our travels, usually with our truck and fifth wheel trailer, but sometimes in our other wheels. When we are not vacationing check in for updates, although less frequent, about our life at home and our wonderful family:)

Probably Only Once

Our next stop was Purdis Creek State Park. Why? Two reasons - to see Dallas and to visit Magnolia. YUP Magnolia! That is the reason for my title. We might be back to Dallas but to Magnolia not likely.

This post is dedicated to our afternoon at Magnolia so enjoy.

Yup Still in Texas

We moved to Martin Dies State Park. State parks aren't our first choice - actually not true - campgrounds aren't our first choice but state parks are when we cannot boondock. At any rate Martin Dies was a beautiful choice!

We are really in rural Texas now and what a diverse state. The lush green farmland and vibrant colors are astounding. We spent many hours just driving and enjoying

I was excited to see armadillos. It was funny because we looked and looked. I was seriously going to give up but one day at dusk we were out walking we saw one, then two, then they were everywhere! And turtles! Anything we don't have at home is amusing to me.

We just had to see AT&T Stadium. That place is HUGE.

On one of our drives we saw the largest ships, the photo doesn't give you a comparable so you can't really tell.

And then FINALLY we saw alligators! They seem to disappear when they hear a sound so all I have to offer you are the creepy eyes. LOL

Sometimes there are no words just photos - so enjoy.

Galveston

Have you been to Galveston or Galveston Island? So beautiful!

We have been here before and like many other places it was one of the sites that brought us back to Texas.

So many memories of a beautiful place!
